Download firmware Vers 2.02 from Pioneer Support website. (Its a zipped file.) There are 2 ways to upgrade firmware: Burn to CD-R or use a USB Key. USB Key is easiest method: Unzip & store to a FAT formatted USB key (must be the only the firmware on it) The firmware upgrade consists of 2 files. Eject any discs from the MEP / Remove any other USB devices. 1) Switch off power to the MEP. 2) Insert USB key with firmware update. 3) Push and hold in both stop/start buttons switch on power. 4) The MEP will detect the USB key & start to load the firmware (Takes about 1.30 minutes) 5) The MEP display will tell you when the firmware is 100% loaded. 6) Switch off the power and remove the USB key. 7) Switch the power back on. The upgrade process is now complete. You can check that the firmware has been upgraded by selecting the UTILITY mode and checking the GENERAL menu.
