About me:
So I purchased my first pair of turntables in high school not knowing that this thing they call hip-hop was eventually going to take over my life. Since then, I actually went on to create somewhat of a name for myself on YouTube and the countless positive responses from you, the fans, has been nothing short of amazing.
My brother and I didn't hesitate to start our own DJ entertainment company and now D[J & S]ervices is our opportunity to show the world how much we love making other people feel good through the music we play. The life of a mobile DJ is a tireless, and sometimes hectic job, but we always cherish every moment of it.
Outside of standing behind the decks, my brother and I also operate our daily hip-hop blog called WE YO!WZERS (www.weyowzers.com), which has quickly grown to become one of the most recognized urban blogs on the net. I also contribute to many other hip-hop related websites such as DJBooth.net and most recently The Find Magazine. I guess you can say music journalism is neck and neck with deejaying for my number one passion.
Big ups to Johnathan, Brian, and the entire staff at DJTutor.com for giving aspiring DJs a chance to follow their dreams one video at a time. Not too long ago I was a clueless rookie DJ myself and I'm willing to share the priceless information I have learned with the many others who seek it.

My brother and I have been doing mobile work for awhile now and for this party we finally got around to recording our very first gig log! I always enjoy watching Johnathan's, Brian's, and all the other DJs' gig logs on YouTube, so why not start uploading my own? You can do the same!
This was a birthday bash for my brother's friend so we already knew a lot of the people attending the celebration. After a couple hours of eating and socializing, the crowd was finally ready to get their groove on when the sun began to set (which we all know is very late during the summer here in Cali).
The area that we were given to work was very spacious, open, and the elevation was perfect. Unfortunately, we couldn't use our lights because we are currently saving up for stands.
As you can see by the video, it was very difficult to read the crowd as light stands would have worked great in this situation. Some people at the party even decided to bring their own strobe lights.
In the end, the gig went smoothly and the birthday boy had a memorable night. Many of the attendees ended up going swimming around 11 o'clock after the dance. Evidently, it never gets cold in the golden state.
