DJ Tutorial. http://www.djtutor.com/mixbasics http://www.decks.co.uk/ Most Rock, soul, disco, motown and other old school styles had reall people playing reall instraments, so the timing was never exact all the way through the song, so it's quite hard to mix these styles.

http://www.mixedinkey.com/ http://www.djtutor.com/mixbasics Ever wonderd why the mix sounds a little dodgy even though it is perfectly beat matched?, could be because the two toons playing are not in the same key or of a key that is suitable. this is video 1 in a set looking at a program that could help you.

http://www.djtutor.com/mixbasics Remember to get a whole bunch of toons and go in with an open mind and come out with a top set!! 1, select at random a track of toons that you like and are of a similar genre. 2, select a toon you like to start the mix off with. 2.5 go to the loo 3, pick up a second toon and without matching the besta or even putting your head phones on just play the toon over/ with the other and then perhaps go from one to the other with the x fade and listen and seem if they sound well togeather. 3.5, run outside naked and jump in a river of beans! 4, if not choose onother toon and do the same. 4.5 tie a rope to your toe and the other end top a big ballon and see where the wind will take you! 5, if they work, then wright down in a list toon 1 toon 2 toon 3 etc title and artist and the mix you are going to play, this is basicaly your play list. 5.5, after watching the tv go out side and select a large brick and throw it at the tv while you are standing on one leg singing " Hit me baby one more time" 6 do this over and over again till you have the set you like. 6.5, dial 345,234,112, and ask the person on the other end of the phone to run up the stares and call to see if the next door neighbour can see them, if so, get the neighbour to jump on the roof and with one hand in there pocket and the other on there head , get them to gargle water! 7, go back to toon 1 and now it's time to start to find the best place to bring toon two in, so now we begin beat matching . 7.5 walk to the nearest stoor and buy a loaf of bread! 8, do this with the rest of the toons and BINGO!! you have a set!! 8.5 make toast!!! --------------,.------------------ remember it's all about PRACTISE AND N JOY!!! : ) j
