"Awesome...thanks for the tip...keep the awesome videos coming! You're the only reason I use youtube lol"

NEW RULE: We will display the last video we pick up
(This should be the last you upload or set as a response, but we might get confused if you upload them very close together)
This means you can rerecord or change your mix if you are not happy with it
BUT the votes for your first video will NOT be carried over to the next one. Your mix will start again at zero.
So uploading more than one mix will usually make you less likely to win
We are trying out a new judging system for some of the competitions.
Anyone who has sent in a video to DJ Tutor is eligible to vote IF they can be seen in the video.
So if you have entered the tenminmix, mashup, back2back or DJMag Micromix competitions, or sent in a ten minute mix, or a Profilez video, or are an Import , you can judge.
You can judge a competition you have entered, but you cannot give less than 5 points.
You cannot judge your own mix.
You can judge each mix once.
To log in you will be redirected to Youtube to give us access to your Youtube username. We cannot access any passwords or personal information that is not already visible on your Youtube channel page.
Please judge mixes on the following criteria:
Just upload a ten minute mix, as a response to this video.
That's all. You don't have to give your name, you don't have to say anything, you don't have to put in the tenminmix tag anymore. Just do a mix using any DJ gear, thats it!
Responses received by 23:00 GMT on the last day of the month will be entered in this month's Competition
Responses received after that time will be entered into the next month's competition
Your video must appear on Youtube as a response by the finish time, so allow a good safety margin for uploading, say 12 hours.
First place winners of this competition or the MicroMix competition may not enter.
However:
Winners of other competitions eg Mash Up and Back2back may enter
Importz may also enter
We will only display one mix per person per month.

Exactly how the judging will work will depend on how many mixes come in, but here are some guidelines:
This system is very new and so it is still being reviewed.
This is how it worked in April:
The votes were added together in a number of different ways ie: including or not including people's votes for themselves, adding all the votes for a mix or taking the average or somewhere in between.
Without seeing the detailed results, Johnathan was asked to judge the twenty most popular.
His top ten was compared to the different ways of adding up the votes, and the votes cast by the other original judges were looked at too.
What looked like the fairest method on paper, ie halfway between adding up the votes for a mix and taking an average, and not including people's votes for themselves, was almost an exact match for Johnathan's top ten.
We used the same method in May, with Johnathan allowed to make changes if necessary
The prizes are sent/provided to the winner directly by the donors.
While we make every effort to ensure that the winners do get the prizes, we cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of prizes.
